Downstream is a new high-level event specifically for the downstream energy sector which is a joint venture between Freeman Media and Conferenz.
This two-day event will be held in Auckland on 6 & 7 March 2012 and will provide constructive debate and analysis of the key commercial, regulatory, environmental and policy issues facing the industry.
The Foundation Partners (Electricity Authority, Commerce Commission, Gas Industry Company and Transpower) will all use this event to stage an annual keynote address and near-term outlook.
Downstream will have an industry focus. Each year it will set the scene for the main strategic issues pertaining to the electricity, downstream gas and downstream petroleum sectors – the three main forms of energy in New Zealand.
Content for the event will be driven by a steering group made up of representatives from the Foundation Partner organisations and the wider industry. Downstream will not feature sensationalist content. It will provide a fresh approach; with presentations and discussions from relevant local leaders and influencers in the energy sector.
