Freeman Media acquires The Capital Letter

Freeman Media has acquired legal publication The Capital Letter from Barry Colman.

The sale represents the last publication of Colman's stable to be offloaded. This follows a long career in publishing including previous ownership of The National Business ReviewProperty Press and Waikato Weekender.

The Capital Letter provides court judgment summaries from the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. It also provides updates on legislation, statutory reviews and general reviews, and enjoys a wide subscription base across the legal profession.

Publisher Matt Freeman says that plans for the publication include a transition from its current weekly print format to a real-time online format and a broadening of the editorial scope. "A number of our existing subscribers across Energy News and Inside Resources will know The Capital Letter," he says. "We welcome any feedback or suggestions for the revamp."
