A new conference for the roading industry

Freeman is pleased to announce a new conference for the roading sector - Future Roads.

The two-day large-format conference, exhibition and industry dinner will run 7-8 November at Claudelands Events Centre in Hamilton.

Key content themes will be: Leadership; Strategy; Technology; Materials; Procurement; Regulation.

Minister of Transport Michael Wood is endorsing the event and providing a Ministerial Address on day one. Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is sponsoring the event and sitting on the advisory panel.

A large attendance is expected from the target audience of road owners including council and central government, contractors and infrastructure providers, consultants, the service and supply-side, regulators and aggregate producers.

In scoping the content and audience for the conference we were careful not to overlap with any of the existing events in the market. Over years of attending roading events we observed that there is a solid range of quite technical and specialised events already in the marketplace, but no one event dealing right across the sector at a commercial and leadership level.

The advisory panel includes representatives from Higgins, Downer, GHD, Dunedin City Council, AQA, Whitestone Contracting, NZIHT, Inside Resources and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency. Infrastructure New Zealand has signed on as a supporting association.
